All placements are approximations, as your ability to understand will vary based on your previous experience with native materials and Japanese overall. However, if you’re at the milestone stated, you should have a grasp on enough grammar to understand the gist of things with the help of a dictionary. Just keep in mind to go easy on yourself, and that a lot of learning happens in native materials. Native materials are not tests.
